Wheel of Dharma

Astrology has a bad name during latest thousand years, and here we will try to restore it's true meaning.

Astrology is NOT used for forecasts. Really.

It's an ancient psychological discipline, which goes far deeper in it's understanding of human nature then modern psychology. However with discovery (re-discovery by Z.Freud & C.Jung ) of psychology gives us an ability to tap into the wisdom of understanding of human nature which this vedic science can offer.

Jyotish Astrology CAN'T predict :

  • When you get married

  • When you will have children

  • When you get rich

  • When you get sick

  • When you get your housing

  • When you be famous

  • When you will immigrate

  • When you will get famous

  • When you find your teacher

  • When you will start your business

Instead Jyotish Astrology can give your very detailed and comprehensive understanding on:

  • How to find your right partner and understand the dynamics of your relationships

  • Understand a right business partner and if you need one.

  • How to have a best sex your life and even improve it.

  • Help you to decide if you need to have children in this period of life and what you need to do for that

  • Analyse your health issues and understand how to heal yourself through your Purpose, Life-Style corrections

  • How your ideal lifestyle might look like

  • What is your social image might look like

  • The most efficient ways for you to generate income

  • What qualities other people value most in you

  • Do you need to start a business and which one

  • How to improve your business

  • How your ideal teacher might look like

In combination with Ayurveda - Jyotish is a tool utilising which we can draw your ideal life-style - on daily, weekly and monthly time range. And have an practical idea of how to balance this life-style.

In combination with Yoga again we may craft a special asana practice designed for your special needs to again balance elements. If Ayurveda utilises food, herbal supplements then Yoga works through physical body practice to enhance mind-body awareness and again balance the same elements. Speaking about our physical body or Annamaya Kosha which literally means "food sheath " - we can't avoid speaking about food and exercising.

We can't avoid researching which type of nutrition works best for us, and which type exercises.

Anamaya Kosha - made of the physical elements (earth, water, fire, air, space). It is nourished by food and sustains our material form. But you don't need to understand Ayurveda deeply to know that it's true. The food we eat impacts directly our body. Same with exercising - if we do a morning exercising routine - we feel energised during the day, and we didn't work-out for a week then our body becomes stiff and sluggish.

The difference of Ayurveda and Yoga compared to modern disciplines like fitness and nutrition - is that they are ancient disciplines, which conducted research on human physiology and psychology for over 4000 years developing profound and individual approach.

There are dozen styles of yoga and there are thousands of asanas, which gives us a lot of variety and opportunities for evolution in our body-mind journey.

According to yogic mythology,  Shiva is considered the Adi Yogi (the first yogi) and the Adi Guru (the first teacher of yoga). It is believed that Shiva knew and taught 8.4 million (84 lakh) asanas, representing the 8.4 million species of life on Earth.

Same with Ayurveda - there are lot of different food recipes, herbal mixtures, balms which you can use to treat yourself, but you some of them can improve your health and some may do the opposite depending on the contexts.

We will not go deeply into the Ayurveda, the point is that because each of this sciences has a lot of empirical data observing human beings - each can be tailored for sophisticated individual approach.

Simply speaking we can everything as follows:

- Jyotish is Vedic Psychology

- Ayurveda is Vedic Nutrition and Life-Style

- Yoga is gymnastics and self-reflection.

But remember that each of this sciences applies a holistic approach.

What does it mean exactly?

New Paradigm of Healing

Vedic Sciences have been applying holistic approach for thousands years.

In the West we used to believe that we have to treat our head (Therapist ) and body (Clinician ) separately. But in reality this is not the case at all.

I am sending you to the book, which gave me a lot of insights and inspiration about mind-body connectio. This book is exploring healing modality which I am passionate about - Sound.

"The Healing Power of Sound" - a book written by Mitchell L. Gaynor, M.D.

Dr. Gaynor was Director of Medical Oncology at the New York Presbyterian Hospital. He was a pioneer of Integrative Oncology, utilising hi-end technology together with Sound Centred Meditation practices, inspired by Vedic, Sufi philosophy and Tibetian and North American Shamanism.

Speaking of Western Paradigm:

The idea of mind body unity, still considered radical by some in the healing professions, traces it origins all the way back to the fourth century B.C.E., and the Greek physician Hippocrates, who said, Natural forces within us are the true healers of disease." Two hundred years later, Pythagoras espoused the then-commonly held belief that human beings were most successfully treated when they were perceived as complete and undivided organisms, the sum of all their complex parts. This holistic and remarkably sophisticated perception of the human ecosystem remained the norm until the mid-seventeenth century, when Rene Descartes articulated the philosophy now known as Cartesian dualism, which held.

His idea hold well in the nineteenth century, when a handful of doctors initiated a return to the mind-body point of view. Harvard physiologist Walter B. Cannon, who came to the conclusion that the human organism remains healthy through a self-regulating system of balance, or homeostasis, that stabilises our internal environment, including our blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature , and blood sugar levels. He coined the phrase "fight-or-flight response" to describe how the sympathetic branch of the nervous system reacts in the face of stressful or threatening conditions.

Subsequent discoveries in the 70's and 80's about the actual anatomical links between the brain and the immune system gave birth to the field of psychoneuroimmunology One extraordinary breakthrough in the study of PNI was achieved by neuroscientist Candace Pert, Ph.D in the early 1980s. Pert discovered that specific brain chemicals - usually called neuropeptides - acted as couriers between the mind and the immune system. Her new understanding of the relationships between the brain and the body showed us that no barriers exists between our thoughts and feelings, on the one hand, and our biological healing system, on the other. Pert showed that the neuropeptides, which she calls "chemical of emotion" are like keys that lock into molecular keyholes on the surface of cells known as receptors. Thus, brain chemicals can circulate throughout the body, delivering messages to immune cells to perform particular functions, and ultimately determining how well our systems operate to keep us healthy and to heal injuries or disease.

"In the form of neuropeptides and their corresponding cellular receptors," Pert says, "our biological systems (the body) are literally flooded by our cognitions and emotions (the mind). Furthermore, our mind is created anew on a moment-to-moment basis by the interplay of ligands [neuropeptides and related brain chemicals] and receptors previously associated only with the body.

Candace Pert is adamant that we no longer should speak of a mind-body connection but only of mind-body unity. She has been strongest scientific advocate of the idea that mind and body are not simply linked by some biological bridge but are totally inseparable.

How the Purpose can heal you ?

Keeping in mind this scientific discoveries - we need to know that Vedic Sciences, like Jyotish and Ayurveda apply holistic approach for thousand years, that's why there are a lot of treasure for those interested in healing and exploring own maximum potential in this life.

Analysing Natal Chart we are exploring psychological depths and issues most of the time, but we can't avoid discussing the health situation and energy level - because it is all reflected in your natal chart.

And at the same time Natal Chart allows us to see the direction in which we need to go to correct and improve the situation, if required.

When we fulfil our Purpose we feel sense of realisation and involvement into life. Our bodies function as self-regulating chemical stations, naturally producing healing hormones like serotonin and dopamine when we feel happiness, supporting our well-being and inner balance.

On other hand suppressed emotions, traumas, anxiety and fear - are the root causes of all major diseases like cancer, which manifested through body on a physical level to attract attention of our consciousness.

So as you can see there is nothing about forecast, but on other hand Jyotish and connected disciplines allow you a profound system for self-exploration and self-regulation.

Jyotish literally means "Light" from Sanskrit. So it is called a science of light. It's a discipline which can give you a direction in your life, where you will discover a truth about yourself, and eventually connect with your true-self.

Why the Forecasts don't work ?

The Law of Irrationality.

Introduction to Selective Memory & Confirmation Bias.

Confirmation Bias is the term described by Robert Green in his masterpiece "The Laws of Human Nature"

Emotions are continually affecting our thought processes and decisions, below the levels of our awareness. And the most common emotion of them all is the desire for pleasure and avoidance of pain. Our thoughts almost inevitably revolve around this desire; we simply recoil from entertaining ideas that are unpleasant or painful to us. We imagine we are looking for the truth, or being realistic, when in fact we are holding on to ideas that bring a release from tension and soothe our egos, make us feel superior. The pleasure principle in thinking is the source of all our mental biases. If you believe that you are somehow immune to any of the following biases, it is simply an example of the pleasure principle in action.

To hold an idea and convince ourselves we arrived at it rationally, we go in search of evidence to support our view. What could be more objective or scientific ? But because of the pleasure principle and its unconscious influence, we manage to find the evidence that confirms what we want to believe. This is known as confirmation bias.

"The are many other biases which make you see what you want to see, depending on your mood, and this disconnect from reality is the source of the bad decisions and negative patterns that haunt your life" - says R. Greene. We won't go as deep into them, but I suggest you to explore "The Laws of Human Nature"

Confirmation Bias is the tendency to seek, interpret, and remember information in a way that confirms our existing beliefs while ignoring or dismissing contradictory evidence. It’s one of the most common cognitive biases and affects decision-making, critical thinking, and even social interactions.

How It Works

  1. Selective Exposure – We gravitate toward sources of information that align with our views (e.g., watching news channels that support our political beliefs).

  2. Selective Interpretation – We twist ambiguous information to fit our preconceptions (e.g., two people reading the same study but interpreting it differently based on their stance).

  3. Selective Recall – We remember details that support our beliefs more vividly than those that contradict them.

Examples in Daily Life

  • Politics – People tend to follow media that aligns with their political views and dismiss opposing viewpoints.

  • Health & Wellness – Someone who believes in a certain diet may only read studies that support it and ignore those that challenge its effectiveness.

  • Relationships – If you think a friend is unreliable, you’ll likely notice when they cancel plans but overlook the times they show up.

Why It Happens

  • Cognitive Ease – It’s easier for the brain to reinforce existing beliefs than to challenge them.

  • Emotional Comfort – Contradictory information can cause discomfort (cognitive dissonance), so we avoid it.

  • Social Influence – We want to fit in with groups that share our beliefs.

Overcoming Confirmation Bias

  • Seek Opposing Views – Challenge yourself with different perspectives.

  • Ask Critical Questions – "What evidence would disprove my belief?"

  • Diversify Information Sources – Read from multiple sources with different viewpoints.

  • Stay Open-Minded – Accept that changing opinions is a sign of growth, not weakness.

Journal Astrology & Confirmation Bias

Journal Astrology I call the astrology, which supply you an information or foreracts based on "your zodiac sign"

Journal astrology (e.g., horoscopes in newspapers or online) thrives on confirmation bias because people naturally seek and interpret astrological predictions in ways that validate their personal experiences.

1. Vague and Generalized Statements (Barnum Effect)

  • Astrological readings often use broad statements that can apply to almost anyone (e.g., “You will face a challenge this week but come out stronger”).

  • Readers subconsciously connect these statements to real events, reinforcing their belief that astrology is accurate.

2. Selective Memory & Recall

  • When an astrological prediction feels true, people remember it.

  • When it’s wrong, they ignore or forget it.

  • Over time, they accumulate "evidence" that astrology works while unconsciously filtering out the misses.

3. Self-Fulfilling Prophecy

  • If a horoscope says, “You will have a lucky day,” a person may act more confidently, increasing their chances of success and confirming the prediction.

  • Conversely, if it warns of conflict, they may become more defensive, creating the very tension it predicted.

4. Ambiguity Allows for Personal Interpretation

  • Horoscopes use neutral wording that allows readers to project their own meaning onto the message.

  • Example: "You may have to make an important decision soon."

    • One person might relate this to their career.

    • Another might apply it to their love life.

    • Both believe the horoscope was "spot on."

Understand, Jyotish Astrology is a science.

Question: "What is your Zodiac sign ?" - which refers to the position of Sun in your natal chart. - Gives zero information for normal astrologer.

Because this Sun is located in a particular house, and thus ruled by some Planet, and this Planet is ruled by another planet and so on... So there are a dosens of variables which we need to take into account to arirve to any conclusion.

We all do have a power of will.

Astrology is not supplying you with information what will happen to you.

Instead, it gives you a knowledge which you may utilise to receive a desired outcome and become a true version of yourself.

And you have a freedom to decide how you want to use it.

Stay connected to your journey,
