My Yoga Journey
How it started...
My interest in body-centred practices started during one of my trips on the ship somewhere in the middle of the sea in 2014. I used to work-out in the gym, but on the ship at that time and even now - you don't have access to all this equipment and your space is also limited most of the times. So my concern was to keep working out my body even with all this limitations, and I trapped on the book called "Convict Conditioning" which taught me the basics of calisthenics. At the same time I started to travel the world as a backpacker and took yoga classes in India, Thailand, Sri-Lanka, Bali.
I was inspired by the idea that the only tool you need for exercising -
is actually your body, which I was always taking with me into my travels all around the world.
Since calisthenics is a practice which involves many gymnastics exercises I wanted to meet a teacher to bring this knowledge up to the next level.

I enjoyed this time in "Maharaj" from 2018 to 2021, when the covid started and I was undergoing a powerful transformation and we decided to leave Ukraine - immigrate and explore the world.
Our journey started in Bali, where we got our Yoga Teachers Training and then Koh Phangan, Chiang Mai, Italy, Turkey. During travelling through all this beautiful places I met people, who expanded my understanding of yoga.
In Canada me and Sasha took a decision to start this project and share our knowledge.
What inspired me in the beginning - still fascinates me the most. Yoga it's like a journey without the end, because capabilities of our body are limitless - and you are never bored to explore them. There is always a possibility to grow and expand in your practice.

In 2018 I met my teachers Pavel Opronenko and Inna Goncharenko in very center of my home-town Odessa. The school where we practices was called yoga-club "Maharaj"
It was just a few minutes walk from my apartment, through a beautiful park, with a breathtaking view of the Black Sea unfolding right at its entrance. I think it was a true blessing to practice there, and school served as a portal for everyone, who was practicing there.
Also in 2019 I met Sasha and we started to practice there regularly together in 2020.

Yoga is the journey. Journey of inspiration, tears, overcoming, joy.
Journey of exploring new destinations, new connections.
And the most important - that it is a journey to your - Self.
